As she works on new music and spoken word pieces for an upcoming performance collection to be released as downloadable mp3s, Moon has created a electronic press kit profile on Reverbnation for listeners to check out some of her work from the past seven years (2002-2010) and become a fan to receive a newsletter of updates. You can listen to her spoken word pieces, like the recent track “Sleep” or “I’m Open” which she recorded a few years ago with Jimi’s Best. You can also check out two songs she wrote and recorded in 2002 as a member of the band Phreaknahdo, “I’m High” and “My Tragedy”. “I’m High” was co-written with international acoustic soul singer KuKu and features vocalist Quineice as co-lead and a cameo spot by Kenneth “Burga” Cromartie on the bridge and on backing vocals.
As a seperate project, she will be releasing the soundtrack to her play “Running: AMOK” on July 9 on Bandcamp.com. The soundtrack features the vocalists and actresses who star in the play during its July 20-25 run in the Capital Fringe Festival this month, including vocalists Quineice, Teisha Marie, Dionne and Anonamas. As well as writing the play the tracks are featured in, Moon wrote all of the songs to be featured on the soundtrack, with music composed by musician Gary Young. Young produced the soundtrack. DeWayne Alston of SoulCityRadio.com said the play has “great music” that is “radio ready”.
