About Khadijah Ali-Coleman
Khadijah Ali-Coleman is a national performer. She wrote, produced and directed the play Shades of Black: a thought in progress in 2008 after creating the AEP Artist Collective as a program to help academically at-risk students at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD in the US. Most recently, she toured with the nationally-recognized theater company The Saartjie Project, an artist collective performing works inspired by the life of South Africa’s Saartjie Baartman, also known as the Hottentot Venus.
Khadijah has perfomed in various stage productions, including the Vagina Monologues, The Life and The Medea Myth. She is also a vocalist, currently working on her first CD release. Khadijah is editor of the book Liberated Muse Volume I: How I Freed My Soul (Outskirts Press, 2009) and creator of the online artist community www.LiberatedMuse.com.
